James W. Davis

VALPARAISO, IN - James W. Davis, age 72, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017. He was born in Champaign, Illinois on December 2, 1945 to the late Theodore and Edna (nee Sanders) Davis. Jim earned a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois. He was a proud alumnus of his university and enjoyed watching all the University of Illinois sporting events. Jim was employed at Eastman Kodak, Data Network Systems, and later at Isra Surface Vision. He enjoyed listening to classical music and will be remembered as a selfless and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary (nee Slovick); sons: Michael (Krista), Brian; daughter, Caryn (Nathan) Goodwin; grandchildren: Victoria, Zachary, Elizabeth, Audrey; brothers: Lee (Kathy), Kenneth; sister, Marcia Moser; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Jim's honor, to the National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
