The funeral of John C. (Chubby) Burmaster, 54, of 608 S. Morris Ave., Bloomington, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington. The Rev. Fred Franks will officiate. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Danvers. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home.

 

Mr. Burmaster died at 9:43 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 25, 2000) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

 

Memorials may be made to Assembly of God, Normal; or OSF St. Joseph Foundation.

 

He was born Dec. 25, 1945 at Bloomington, a son of Chris H. and Garnet Skaggs Burmaster.

 

Survivors include a brother, Robert Burmaster, Bloomington; and a sister-in-law, Donna Peterson, Bloomington.

 

Also surviving are three nephews, Robert C. Burmaster, Bloomington; Troy W. Burmaster, Bloomington; and Cody W. Burmaster, Heyworth; a great-niece, Sarah Burmaster, Danvers; and a great-nephew, Daniel Burmaster, Danvers.

 

His parents and two brothers, Clifford and Bill,  preceded him in death.

 

Mr. Burmaster was a truck driver and operator for the City of Bloomington. He retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of the City of Bloomington Union 699.

 

Cubby will be missed by his family, friends, and especially the Wheeler family.
