Betsy Elliott

Betsy Ahlenius Elliott, 36, Schaumburg, formerly of Bloomington, died at 10 a.m. yesterday at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, after an illness of several months.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at South Church Community Baptist, Mount Prospect.

There will be no visitation. Ahlgrim Funeral Home, Schaumburg, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Oct. 19, 1946 at Chicago, a daughter of Edward and Bonnie Perley Ahlenius. She married Dennis Elliott in Bloomington. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents, 1101 Elmwood Road, Bloomington; a Daughter, Jody, at home; two brothers, Richard, Lubbock, Texas, and Douglas, Chicago Heights; and a sister, Bonnie Bernholdt, Elk Grove Village.

She was a member of South Church Community Baptist, Mount Prospect.

She was a graduate of Monmouth College and attended Bloomington schools.

She taught for 14 years in Palatine.
