Terry (Max) Maxwell

I didn't go to grade school with him, but I'm guessing Bob Brannon from what I can recall of how he looked in high school.  May be way off.

Max, you're spot-on with your guess. It's Bob Branom.

And what are we going to do without Big Ten football this season?

Marvin -- thanks for the spider info. And my apologies if I overstepped in calling him a webmaster. I was referring only to his domain of course, not raiders64.

my last trip til who knows when if ever was in february to mexico to see the monarchs.  if i'd known then what i know now i'd have appreciated the stillness and calm more. my only fear then was being in a state dept. "level 4 do not visit" area smiley

Nice job Max and Jack! Max gets a B+ on the pop quiz and Jack gets an A. While Max had the correct answer he had the wrong spelling so he missed the A+. Jack missed the + because even though he had the right answer Max got it right first. The rest of you have to retake the test for skipping the pop quiz. Sorry those are the rules. The old adage "I didn't make the rules" does not apply here. I just make them up as I go smiley.

Who is in this mystery photo?

Julie - The monarchs photos are awesome. I can't image how amazing it would be to see them in that abundance. Your calming pictures look very appropriate for that purpose. Maybe they will help Joan. While I liked the flower picture, I connected with the Buddha like picture. I need to take a deep breath and slow down. I feel more relaxed already. Thank you!

Speaking of slowing down - I have been wondering how Boo is doing. Knock - knock - Boo are you there? Hopefully you are doing the opposite and speeding up.

And for my Silly Saturday entry and in keeping with the Joan and Julie posts this could provide serenity. At our age it could also get us committed sadsurprise.

My guess for the picture is Jane Wettaw.

Love that saying Marvin.

Marv...  I know that has to be Jane "Betsy" Wettaw but got on the site too late to get my entry in.  I also still remember who Bob Branom married.  Can I get extra credit for remembering that for 50 years?  Lol!  It was Alex Berner from Trinity HS.  Trying hard to keep my grades up to stay eligibile.

Sandy just moved to the top of the class with an A+.  OK Max! You are even with Jack now. Nice extra effort. However, I am not sure what you think you are "eligible" for. Class Valedictorian maybe? Class is dismissed. Thanks for participating cool.

I still have two more photos to share and they will be quite easy but I will save them for another day.

Nope... don't want to be Valedictorian.u

Terry, I didn't know Jane's nickname was "Betsy".  So I'll share my grade with you.  wink

That's what I used to call her in high school.  Not sure if others did.

Marv--Another line on aging  Geting older is mandatory, growing up is not.

That's Jane Wettaw for sure.

Marvin, I want to appeal my being docked on Bob Branom. I did spell the name right, even though Max knew who it was and was first to make a guess.

Update: the spider I posted a few days ago is dead, we think. He hasn't been back since I bought Janet a new can of bug spray.

Jack - I am sorry to hear of the loss of your spider. You are not as protected from the brown recluse now.

Regarding the pop quiz grades - I was just foolin' with Max and Jack. As far as I am concerned you are all A+ classmates. I overstepped my authority anyway as if I had any to begin with.

Below are the last two 4th grade photos I received from Gail. As I said before, I think they are easy ones because to me they did not look much different in HS. Who are the last two mystery classmates?

08/17/20 07:24 PM #9057

Wendy Stephens (Cullen)

I think the second is Mary Eisenberg.  No idea the first.

Melvin (Mel) Theobald

Is it too late to play? I think the first one is Susan Probasco. Would love to catch up with Jack and Max. LOL And I agree with Wendy, the other is Mary Eisenberg.

Terry (Max) Maxwell

I didn't really know her, but my guess would be Norma 'Jean' Grean.  I also think the other is Mary Eisenberg.

Max, after seeing your post, I have to agree. Guess Marv will give me a D+. Sadly, Susan and Norma are no longer with us.

08/18/20 11:06 AM #9061

Marvin Theobald

Norma and Mary were the correct answers. Mel - You are sooo far behind Jack and Max you will never catch up. Good thing everyone has an A+, including Mel's amnesty grade.

Below is the Washington School 1955-1956 class photo. If anyone is interested in having it I would be glad to send it to the first one to respond.

Here is another photo to challenge your brain! Can you identify this BHS teacher? No, she was not one of our 4th grade teachers. If you are stumped I will provide some hints later. Once she has been identified I will also provide a little bit more info on her.

Dave - Congratulatioins on your new "family member". I suggest you don't let it wonder to Jack's house. I understand they have ways of dealing with strange scary insects. Is that a butterfly or a moth?
