I have fallen a few days behind so will try to get caught up.

Wendy - You blow me away with the stitchery you have done. Your church must be as amazing a show place of craftwork as any church in the country.

Sandy -  Your experience as a leader of the MC Medical Assistants and your newsletter accomplishments is a great tribute to your many hidden talents. I totally share your reservations regarding public speaking. I have never been comfortable or very self-confident when I had to speak at an event. While I have done it at our last three class reunions it has only been because no one else was willing to do it which makes me feel I am not alone in my reservation. I think we need to tap your experience and draft you do the honors at out next reunion.

Sue - Your quilting is also fantastic. It is always nice when you can share in a project with someone where you can both do what you enjoy most while the other one does the part you are less inclined to do. Nice work!

Julie - You are without a doubt the most adventurous person I know. Was there anything worth seeing in the cave or was it just the challenge that made it seem worth doing?

Dave - Love the fawn photo. I see them occasionally where I live and it always such a treat.

And now for SILLY SATURDAY!

One of my granddaughters was bonding with these Oscars in 2010. I am not sure whether she or the fish was the most curious. You might say they saw eye-to-eye.

Did you hear about the new Senior GPS?  It gives you the directions, but then remids you of why you were going.

OK Dave - I'll share in the funny stuff!

My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table.  My wife asked, 'Do you know her?'  'Yes,' I sighed, 'She's my old girlfriend...I  understand she took to drinking right after we split up those  many years ago, and I hear  she hasn't been sober since.'  'My God!' says my wife, 'who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?'

David B. - Thanks for sharing your recipe.  I’m definitely going to try it!

Julie - You are just amazing!!!

Jim - I belong to a local quilt guild, and am actually going to a Quilt Retreat with a friend in November to Virginia for four days to quilt with 10 other quilters.

Mel - I loved reading the Aegis again!  Thanks for posting it.  (I used a light box to trace the images and print onto fabric to embroider on that quilt.)

Wendy - I’ve been trying to determine if I have a favorite quilt, and I really can’t come up with one.  When I look at quilt pictures I think about who I made it for and the occasion...so I think that is more of a favorite experience of quilt making.  I made all my kids quilts before they left for college, and all my nieces and nephews when they graduated from high school, also many were wedding gifts, Christmas presents, baby gifts, birthday gifts and so on.  I’ll share a few more (at the risk of boring everyone🤣)

this was a wedding shower gift for my daughter-in-law -- made 13 years ago, and a few years ago it was in a local quilt show.

Sue thanks for the quilt pictures!  I especially like the pentagons.

just to clarify, those church vestments are not for just one church.  I am part of a guild encompassing Western Washington.  So our guild assists churches from the Canadian border to Oregon, West of the Cascade Mountains.

I am anti-cave myself, as far as entering one, so you are brave for sure, Julie.  Mammoth Cave in Kentucky is more my speed.

Sue, realllllly? We are all so bored. How much more do you think we can take? These are just amazing. I'm sure we all have favorites. I really like the one of the building that is hanging in your house. What is the story behind it? REALLY...post as many as you like. It is awesome to see what you are doing.

Sue...  Love all of the quilt pix!  Keep them coming.  You do an excellent job designing and creating them.  I do agree with Marv... like the last two best with the blue one winning out over the other by a nose.

sue - your quilts are beautiful and i'm amazed at how totally different they all are.

Sue - reading a book and in it one of the characters is using satellite images of terrain as a pattern for quilt making.  fields, streams, forests et al. just an idea for a future project  I love all that you have done and each is special.

Julie - proud of you for conquering your fear.  I truly know how difficult that is.  Only went in 2 tunnels in Nam and that was enough, just couldn't handle it.

Great catching up!  Later!

One of my quilting projects took me 10 months to complete.  Every October for the last 6 years my husband attends a reunion with some of the guys he served with in Vietnam.  I made quilts for these men unbeknownst to Steve.  He is so use to seeing me sew it never dawned on him what I was doing.  Not all of the quilts are the same pattern, but each has 1 large star for 1st Cavalry and 2 smaller stars for 2nd battalion and 2nd platoon. I added a label to the back of each quilt with the recipient’s name.  I packed them in a carry-on suitcase, and before Steve left for the airport I told him to take this, no questions asked, and don’t open it until all of them are together.  (One glitch in my plan happened when 5 days before Steve left he told me he just found out Bill somebody was able to go.  I didn’t have a quilt for this guy!  I rushed and sew together a quilt top and added a note to give it back and I would finish it and mail it to him.)
