Sandra Jeakins (Singletary Sizemore)

Happy BIrthday, David Long.  All cute pictures.  Mel and Marvin, you both are adorable in the tub.  And your 70th birthday party looked like a lot of fun!  Thank you Marvin for posting this picture, since I was having trouble.  This the only birthday picture I have. I had birthday parties but Mom must not have taken pictures because I have never seen pictures of those parties.

Thanks for the video of the Little Rascals.  Brought back a lot of memories.  After my mom died when I was 6, I was passed around to a lot of aunts and uncles for care - anyway, one aunt had 4 daughters and one was nicknamed Buckwheat.  She was my favorite.  They all took care of me for one summer and then it was off to another aunt and uncle.  Lots of great experiences.

It seems there is a problem with the website accepting photos today. It appears to be asimilar problem to photos posting sideways. I recently discovered a work around for MS Windows. I recommend you make a copy and work with the copy to be sure not to compromise the original. Before you post your photosimply OPEN it with MS PAINT and SAVE. Then you should be able to post it as usual. If you need help call or email me and I will gladly try to help. You can also just email a copy of your photo to me and I will fix and post it.

While Marv is working on the photo problem, I thought you might be entertained by this, another part of our 70th Birthday Party a few years ago. The big surprise was John Waddell making a guest appeance. Some of you may remember him. He is truly amazing.

I had the same problem last night while trying to post my tree pics.  I gave up.  I think it's Mel's fault.  No reason to think so, but we have to blame somebody!

I talked to my daughter, who is tech savvy.  She had a look and thinks it is a capacity issue with the website.  Does anyone understand that?  I don't really.  But perhaps one of you tech savvy people might.

Wendy, first of all, your TREE day was a huge hit with everyone. Your Australia shot and the banyon trees were fabulous. In regard to photo posting issue, I wondered about that a couple of weeks ago when were starting to see so many photos posted. So Marv checked on it and seemed to think our acct. for raiders64 had plenty of capacity. If not, we can apparently purchase more memory space. Let's see what he says. Obiously, as the site admin he has been able to go in and post things. I'm not savvy enough to know, but he had no problem getting Sandy's and my photos up. Finally, I had no problem posting videos since they are stored in YouTube, not on the website, thus they don't use much memory.

Max, I'm willing to accept some of the blame for this problem, but only because I want you to be happy. Hope that makes you feel better. NOT!!! blushfrowndevil

Let's hope this works better tomorrow. Thursday's theme is FUNNY PHOTO.

A thought.  Maybe Marv can delete some pictures from earlier and that would make room for more.  Not saying it is a good idea, but a thought.

We have only used 10.53% of our memory capacity s that should not be the issue. I was not able to fix Sandy's issue so I had her email the photo to me and the only way I was able to get it posted was to reshoot it with my cell phone and then post the new shot. Her photo was scanned and I previously had a problem with a scanned pjhoto of mine. I have no reasonable explanation for what is happening but will keep trying to figure it out. Email your pics to me and I will get them posted if you want.

Wendy has successfully posted a test photo. While there is no logical explanation for the problem please go ahead and try to post your photos and let me know if you are still having trouble. If so, I will contact Class Creator in the morning and try to find a solution.

Let's see if today's Funny Photo posts are more successful!!!

Mel has a reputation when it comes to the end of a gathering. As his friend Jan puts it "Mel's not usually the last to leave! He's always the last to leave!" So, this photo represents my attempt to out last him to the bitter end wink

This was a small stone carving at the entrance of the Naritason Museum in Narita, Japan in 2008. I think it had to do with making a wish or a prayer - not sure. Anyway I thought it was really a FUNNY PHOTO.

My grandson and two grand-daguhters at the St Louis Zoo in 2007. The camel did not bite her but was just giving her a kiss I guess.

I missed Wednesday's birthday theme but feel this photo covers both that topic as well as 'funny'. I'm obviously jaded but still celebrating with cousin Hank Daniels, to my right, and twin John.

Marv, you got that right. Don't know what you meant by "to the bitter end" but good luck with that. By the way, you look a little poker faced in the photo and the glasses are empty. What's with that?

There is a dilemma between FUNNY STRANGE and FUNNY HA HA. No one prepared me for the fact that my granddaughter would be a natural born comedian. But she is and I get a laugh a minute when I'm with her. Last night we played two games of Candyland while on a video chat. And, yes, I was the last to leave.

This is what I'm talking about.

FUNNY under magnificatiion.

FUNNY as Charlie Brown.

FUNNY Harry Carey impersonation.

FUNNY during an office visit.

FUNNY in a box.

FUNNY eating mashed potatoes.

Two of these young girls had just been members of a wedding party.  The wedding was on the beach.  After the ceremony they broke loose.  Those dresses will never be the same!

Junior Sample, of Hew Haw fame, fished a BASS Tournament.  At breakfast he had something in each hand and needed something and asked Ron to get it out of his pants pocket for him..   Ron came back to the cabin saying he had just had his hand in Junior Sample's pants.

For Saturday, let's do Sunsets.

Marvin, just for the fun of it, I tried loading the picture I did yesterday for my birthday and it loaded today.   So if you fixed what was wrong yesterday,  much thanks.

I don't know what the theme is tomorrow.  But I thought of a few for the future.

Beverages

Skylines...I suggested this earlier

Sports...anything to do therewith  could be you at a Bears or Cubs game, etc.

Friday's are FREE FOR ALL FRIDAY, which means anything goes. Sandy has chosen SUNSETS for Saturday. Sunday is up to our fearless leader Dave. Max is on for Monday unless someone else wants to jump in.

Something funny here, but I can't tell what. These three pelicans appear to be in the middle of a bull session and the one on the right has just told a joke. The one in the middle appears to be laughing his bill off at the punch line. The one on the left can't see the humor in it, however. Santa Maria Island, Florida, 1986.
