Suzi so happy for your granddaughter! Tell her congratulations! Unfortunately Jim and I won't be at the reunion either. We were really looking forward to it but I have been ill. I am recovering but not yet up to the 3 hour drive. Hope everyone has a fantastic time.

For those who missed it last night, 15 Raiders64 classmates braved the weather to attended the mini-reunion. I don't know of anyone who took a single photo, but Marv turned over a trove of negs our mom had saved and I've just scanned a few that might be of interest to some of you. These were all taken on April 22, 1963 in Chem 2. I haven't tried to ID everyone yet, but Jim Pierce, Jim Pearson, Bill Walton, Marvin Theobald, Roger Mardis, Paul Koerner, Chuck Massie, Ron Umbright, Bob Dravis and Bob Bloomquist are among them. Anyone know who the girls are? I don't recognize them. Maybe Sharene Morse? Anyway, we missed all of you who were unble to be with us.

Suzi it was pretty serious but now on road to recovery. Just trying to build my strength back up. I was in the hospital for 8 days 4 of which were in the ICU with septic shock, kidney and blood infection and pneumonia. Thankfully it is behind me now! Thank you for your kind words. Love you too! Hopefully we can be at the next mini reunion. Take care!

I need help from BHS classmates. On or near the corner of W. Washington and Morris Ave was a restaurant that had pictures of former boxers on their walls. We can't figure out if it was John and Gene's or the Hickory Pit. Does anyone know?

Milan, according to my fellow coffee drinking scholars and historians, that establishment was known as "The Hickory Pit". I'm sure that you will receive a lot of feed-back on the subject. If we are wrong, please correct us.

I've learned that hanging out at the coffee shop is far superior to a PhD. We tend to get loud, brag, tease, and solve political issues. Of course we are all "war heros" and remain polorized between Cubs and Cardinals!
