Linda Wall Krieger passed away May 19, 2018, at her home in Bakersfield, Calif., with her daughter and her constant companion, Shorty, by her side.
Linda was born to Clarence and Violet Thorpe on July 22, 1946, in Bloomington. She had a close relationship growing up with her sister, Dee; brother, Jim; and cousins, Mark and Scott Griesemer. In 1962, she married Ronald Wall of Normal. They had four children, James, Andrea, Jeffrey and Jonathon. They eventually settled near St. Louis, and were active and devoted parents who enjoyed coaching the kids' sporting teams. Linda's beloved Ron passed away in 1989. She later married David Krieger of St. Charles, Mo. In 2011, she moved to California to be closer to her daughter, Andrea "Foo."
She is now in heaven with all of her family who passed before her, including, Ron; her son, Jeff, her "little buddy"; David Krieger; Clarence and Violet Thorpe, Mary Ann Kouba, Delores Griesemer, Cindy Griesemer and Aggie.
She is survived by her children, Jim; Foo, and son-in-law, Greg; and Jon; grandchildren, Joshua, Devin, Chelsea, Justice and India Wall; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Dominick, Tara and Camille Wall; Tammy and Brian Hoette; and Edwina and Steven Leonard; her brother, Jim Thorpe, and wife, Juli, Bloomington; Susan Stachowski, and husband, John, Florida; cousins, Mark and Scott Greisemer; and her devoted companion, Shorty.
She loved her family above all else. She will be missed greatly. We love you to the moon and back!
Her memorial service will be at noon Saturday at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Burial of her ashes will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.
