Robert Wilson

Robert Wilson of Urbana will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Renner-Wikoff
Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, U. The Rev. James Layman will officiate.

Visitation will follow services at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson died at 6 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 18, 2001) at home.

He was born in Springfield, a son of John and Marie Wilkerson Wilson. He
married Betty Beer on Dec. 21, 1968, in Bloomington. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Eric Wilson of Champaign; a daughter, Michelle
Grice of Champaign; three brothers, John Wilson and David Wilson, both of
Springfield, and Ed Wilson of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters,
Isabella Linn and Jean Edwards, both of Springfield, and Ann Hodgen of
Monmouth; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Mr. Wilson graduated from Springfield Lamphier High School and Illinois
State University with a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees, one in
speech and drama and one in educational media.

He taught high school at Geneseo, CentennialHigh School and Bloomington
High School. He served in the Army from 1956 to 1958.

Mr. Wilson was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Champaign and was
a past president of Bloomington Education Association.

Memorial contributions may be made to Centennial High School Media Center
