The funeral for C. Gary Wilcox, 55, of 903 E. Empire St., Bloomington, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Allen L. Steinbeck will be officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery, Downs. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 today at the funeral home.

 

He died at 11:45 p.m. Friday (Oct. 19, 2001) at his residence.

 

Memorials may be made to Illinois Neuro Health Science.

 

He was born May 13, 1946, a son of Clarence and Marguerite Koch Wilcox. He married Linda Kletz on December 24, 1964 in Bloomington. She survives.

 

Also surviving are his mother, Bloomington; a daughter Becky Wilcox, Bloomington; two sons, Gary (Sonja) Wilcox II and John (Tiffany) Wilcox, Titusville, Fla; and two brothers, Ralph (Joanne) Wilcox, Bloomington; Larry (Tina) Wilcox, Titusville; Three sisters, Betty (Glenn) Lovecamp, Virginia (Orville) Gannaway, and Rose (Dan) Otto, all of Normal. Survivors include two granddaughters, Brittany Wilcox and Hillary Wilcox.

 

His father, three brothers, and a sister preceded him in death.

 

Mr. Wilcox graduated from Bloomington High School. He was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a retired contractor.
