James Pearson

James L. Pearson, 34, Clearwater, Fla, and formerly of Bloomington, was found dead about 8 a.m. Wednesday (Dec 1979) on a Clearwater beach.

A spokesman for the medical examiner’s office said foul play is not suspected. The death was initially listed as a drowning.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Beck Memorial Home, the Rev Robert Howard officiating. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the memorial home and one hour before the funeral.
Mr Pearson was born Dec 5, 1945, at Bloomington, a son of Luther and Louise Lauher Pearson. He married Deborah McGuire in Bloomington. He later married Cathy Anderson in Madison, Wis. She survives.
He also is survived by his parents, 1103 ½ Colton Ave; a daughter Julie Pearson, Pekin; a brother Lonnie Pearson, 1103 ½ Colton Ave; two sisters Betty Decker, Mesa, Ariz and June Pickett, St Louis, Mo; and maternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Forrest Lauher, RR 3.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bloomington. He graduated from Bloomington High School and had been employed as a painter in Bloomington.
