Stephen McCurdy
A graveside service for Stephen D. McCurdy, 56, of Bloomington will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at East Lawn Memorial Garden Mausoleum Chapel, Bloomington. Full military rites will be accorded. The Rev. Vernon Oakley will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.
He died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 19, 2001) at his residence.
Memorials may be made to BroMenn Hospice, Normal.
Mr. McCurdy was born Aug. 7, 1945, a son of Anna D. Johnson Wojtczak. He married Jennifer Jo Kiper on Aug. 12, 1967 at Bloomington. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Bloomington; two daughters, Anna Marie Griffith, Manitowoc, Wis.; and Stephanie J. McCurdy, Bloomington; two brothers, Dusty A. Wojtczak, Heyworth; and Larry R. Wojtczak of South Carolina; and two grandchildren.
One sister and one grandson preceded him in death.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He also was a member of the 33rd Degree Masonic Masons.
