The funeral of Michael F. McCambridge, 56, of 3103 Winchester Drive, Bloomington, will be private. The Rev. Arthur F. Headley will officiate. Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery in rural McLean.

 

He died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Post 99, in care of John Meyer, 1110 N. Clinton Blvd., Bloomington, Illinois 61701; or Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, New York 11714.

 

He was born Nov. 21, 1946, a son of Thomas and Virginia E. Meyers McCambridge. He married Sue Spafford on June 7, 1969 in Bloomington. She survives.

 

Also surviving are two sons, Toby McCambridge and Patrick McCambridge, both of Bloomington; one daughter, Amanda McCambridge, Bloomington; his mother in Bloomington; one brother Tom (Cheryl) McCambridge, Normal; and two sisters, Mary (Herb) Fuller, Bloomington; and Cathy (Vic) Damutz, Fort Pierce, Fla.

 

His father and sister, Theresa, preceded him in death.

 

Mr. McCambridge was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War.

 

He had worked for the Caterpillar Tractor Company at East Peoria for the past 28 years.
