NORMAL - Ray "Butch" Hoye, 60, of 204 N. Grove, Normal, died at 12:28 p.m. Sunday (July 30, 2006) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.n; His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, also at the funeral home.n;Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.

Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God, Moose Haven or Gift of Hope.

Butch was born Feb. 1, 1946, in Bloomington, the son of Helen and Ray Malinowski Hoye. They preceded him in death.n; He married Thell Bruso on Nov. 29, 1969. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Steve (Natalie) Hoye, Dyer, Ind.; Debbie Hoye, Normal; Joe (Dawn) Hoye, Bloomington; Julie (Mike) Lenardt, Bloomington; Christina Hoye, Normal; and Jim Mitchell, Heyworth; special friends, Kevin and Nora Graham, Normal; sister, Judy VanNote, Bloomington; brother, Danny (Sue) Hoye, Chestnut; and six grandchildren.n;

Butch was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Butch last worked for Mitsubishi in the paint room. Previously, he was a mechanic at Lawn Groomer in Normal, and Staley's.

He was a member of First Assembly of God in Normal and Moose Lodge 745.

Butch was an avid Cardinals and Bears fan.
