The funeral of Vernon M. Fox Jr., 43, 309 N. Towanda Ave., Normal, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Revival Outreach Center, Bloomington.
 
The Rev. Herb Helney will officiate. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, where military rites will be accorded.
 
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the Revival Outreach Center. Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home will be in charge of arrangements.
 
Mr. Fox was dead at 10:00 a.m. Saturday 9March 3, 1990) at his home. He died of a gunshot wound to the head, McLean County Coroner William Anderson said.
 
He was born Aug. 31, 1946, in Normal, the son of Vernon M. and Anne L. Lusher Fox Sr. He married Terry Schneider Aug. 17, 1969, in Bloomington. He later married Joy Lease, Dec. 1987, in Normal.
 
Surviving are four sons, Chad A. and Cody A., both at home; and Jerome W. and Jaime C. of 153 Southgate Estates, Bloomington; and two sisters, Connie Riebe, 201 Veronica Way, Normal, and Donna Gemberling, 1104 N. Main St., Normal.
 
His parents preceded him in death.
 
Mr. Fox was a member of Revival Outreach Center, Bloomington and the Central Illinois Chapter of VietNow. He was an Army veteran, having served in VietNam. For the past 21 years, he had been employed as an engineer for General Telephone. He was also an artist and operated a country craft business throughout Central Illinois.
